So i thought, so I have the opportunity to learn more about this game, I would surprise him with a little write up on how I feel the season for the jags will shape up. I have done my research on a lot of the websites, intertwined with my time on Nick Jr., If you like it, please send juice boxes:
WHAT TO EXPECT: It is never to early for predictions
My playmates and I were having a spirited discussion about how the Jags would do this season...specifically before the bye week. Yeah it is only 5 games, but this is really the most important part of a fan's judgement of the team. Can't learn too much from one game, but 5 should be a good sign.
GAME 1 @ Vikings
Last year the vikings were the 18th ranked offense in the League (a little better than us). When we face them in Minnesota, it looks like they are going to be without their star running back, at least not at 100%, and we have a defense that looks like it could be better than the 6th ranked D we had at the end of the year.
With offense, yeah, we weren't the best last year....but at least we can't be worse. We have a receiving corps that people actually know who they are and an ok running game. Gabbert should fair better with the proper off season and actual coaches that know what they are doing and they will be facing a defense that ranked 21st in the league (26th against the pass) and I feel this game will be close, but I think the Jaguars jump out early and be able to hold them off -- good job, Jaguars 28 - Vikings 20.....it is so easy getting to 1-0
GAME 2 vs Texans
No stats -- Texans in Jacksonville and we play them hard every game. I don't like the Texans and I know you need to be objective in predicting outcomes of games....so here you go...Jaguars (in THEIR battle red) 34 - Texans 31.......2-0
GAME 3 @ Colts
Ummm....nuff said....3-0
GAME 4 vs Bengals
Last years game was so frustrating to watch as a fan. Really saw the offense start to come together (thanks to the outstanding play of Reggie Nelson), but it seems as though the bounces kept going the Bungals way and poor clock management by our young QB didn't help. Hopefully ole Reggie will show up and help the Jags out again, but I really think this one is a game the vets will bring up. Bad loss in 2011 and a chance to put last year and the last coaching staff truly behind them. Jaguars 24 Bengals 20....4-0

GAME 5 vs Bears
Tough game.....any game against the NFC north is just tough. Smash mouth football that is fun to watch and how real football should be played. Although the defense is getting older, the offense just picked up a huge weapon in Brandon Marshall (no, not you #53) and even if Forte holds out, 5th game of the season will probably be enough time for him to be in football shape. I think the Jags D will play tough, i just do not think they will be able to handle the Bears offense for 60 minutes......that is what the national media (or Jag haters as Papa calls them) would say
Since my house bleeds teal and black....Cutler will get hurt by a sandwich sack from Mincey and Branch and D-Cox will shut the not so good Brandon Marshall down...Jaguars 23 - Da Bears 13....5-0
Well...there you have it....if this happens, I should have a new doll house by Halloween and then can start working on the new princess room I have been dreaming of.
Love my papa...but I love those Jags more!!!!!!
